Plant a tree...

Wow, I think I have a forest back there now...well not yet. But we have planted 11 trees in the backyard. Granted, 7 of the trees are less than 18 inches tall...but hey, I'm trying.

It used to be so nice being the only house out here. All the trees around. We saw deer a couple of times...not now. Everythings bulldozed over. Streets are being built and houses are popping up fast.

As for the trees, I've planted:

- 1 Poplar Hybrid
- 1 Red Maple
- 7 Oaks (various kinds)
- 2 Guava trees

I also have 2 more guava trees in pots, as well as 6 rose bushes.

On top of the 2 Azaleas, and 7 other various bushes.

I'm going to run out of room for the kids to play outside.

That was fast...

OK, so the guy from Sear's shows up for the ice dispenser issue with the freezer...OK, he's gone...Less than 10 minutes...more like 5. Jammed ice cube. Thought I checked it...now I know...

The power of warranty...

Back to it...

OK, as you can tell, I haven't blogged much lately. Lots of stuff going on though...

I've been recovering from something my kids passed on to me. At least it was a paid day off from work. But still, I felt like absolute crap. But I'm getting better.

The Sear's guy is going to come over and take a look at the freezer. It makes the ice, but the dispenser doesn't spit it out. I've looked at it, but I'm no expert...might as well get someone who knows what they are doing (plus, it's under warranty).

Um where to begin...Kai was part of a wedding. He looked great in his tuxedo. I'll have to order some pictures. He didn't want to smile for any pictures though. It was nice. We went to Austin and crashed at my sister's place. The wedding was near Lake Travis, real nice scenery.

We planted some more bushes/trees. A couple weeks ago, my wife comes back from Quizno's and says that she thinks people are stealing plants from the model homes. I call the lady that worked at the sales office and they said that it was OK. They were going to plow over the plants and make driveways for those houses. They built like 5 or 6 new model homes a just a bit down the road from the old model homes. Since they were free, I got in on the action. I got 9 big bushes. 2 Azaleas and some other stuff. Planted them the next day...talk about some work. Yesterday, went to my dad's place with my father in law and grabbed some rose bushes and some guava plants. He thought we should get this one that broke through the pot and rooted into the ground. Needless to say, that was a lot of work (considering I was sick). He got a couple of his buddies to move and plant the guava trees in the backyard. They didn't waste any time. They were already planting by the time I got back from Wal Mart (bought some more soil).

Well, that's about it for now.....I'll write back later.
