In Jolly ol' Englan

Work sent me to the UK for, well, work. I left on April 1 and flew into London on April 2. It was a decent flight. I got the seat right next to the exit door. Plenty of leg room. I only managed 1.5 hours of sleep though.

I was picked up by a coworker and we toured London. It was pretty nice to start off, but it wouldn't have been a true London experience without rain. So it rained on us.

We started our walk around Tower Bridge and made it all the way to the London I (or eye). Whatever. We saw St. Paul cathedral, about 9 Starbucks, Convent Gardens, Trafalgar Square, the Texas Embassy Cantina, London Bridge, Big Ben.

We were going to see Buckingham Palace, but it started pouring on us. We saw an anti-war protest. Interesting.

I'll have to upload pictures later.

Then it was off to Bury St. Edmunds. Stayed at the Ramada over there. Not much to see there...sugar factories and swineries (pig farms). Did my stint in Bury St. Edmunds and now I'm in Birmingham (well, Northfield). That's where the our UK office is.

Fun fun fun. It has rained ice and snowed. Stuff you don't see in Houston. I got lost, it was great. Driving on the wrong side of the road and everything.

What an experience. I'll write more later.
